Prof. Steve Gill is the head of the UCD Research group. He is also a lecturer in Product Design and Director of Research for the Cardiff School of Art & Design. See his Academia.edu profile here.

As well as the management related posts mentioned above, Steve is a product designer and academic with 21 years experience in industry and HE. He has designed or product managed around 50 products to market and has published around 50 peer reviewed outputs. He is currently co-writing a book on Physicality with Prof. Alan Dix of Birmingham University and Talis called Touch IT. The book came out of the DEPtH: Designing for Physicality project, a research council funded collaboration with University of Lancaster. Steve is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the Design Research Society.
